Your luxury honeymoon at Blue Waters...
A superb choice for a tropical getaway and a very popular resort that sees many guests return year after year, drawn by its friendly staff, lively ambience and the seclusion of the palm-edged bay with its twin beaches.
The resort’s position on the island’s north western tip brings superb sunset views, picturesquely framed by Soldiers Bay. These are best experienced, cocktail in hand, at the poolside or in the Pelican piano bar, named after the birds that swoop across the bay.
As well as nightly entertainment on the ivories, a steel band often plays after dinner, while a weekly cocktail party provides a further opportunity to get to know fellow guests.
Dinner might be a buffet or table d’hôte meal in the alfresco Palm Restaurant overlooking the sea, or a supper of freshly caught fish in the more intimate à la carte Vyviens. While most guests choose the All-Inclusive option, the hotel’s flexible meal plan means that all preferences can be met.
Set in 17 acres of tropical gardens, all 104 rooms have a private balcony or patio with views of the gardens, pool or sea. Cool tiled floors and rattan furniture create an airy Caribbean feel, enhanced by modcons such as air conditioning, fridges and cable TV. Pick of the crop are the two Luxury Suites, featuring a separate living room and located a shell’s throw from the beach, and Rock Cottage (see below).
The hotel’s numerous facilities include tennis, a gym and three freshwater pools and a Jacuzzi. The sheltered bay is perfect for learning non-motorised water sports such as windsurfing and sailing, while additional diversions (available at an extra cost) include deep-sea fishing, paragliding, horse riding, spa treatments and golf at the nearby 18-hole course.
